Propane furnace recommendation: Weil McLain vs Triangle Tube?
I'm close to buying a new propane furnace for our home. The furnaces that have been recommended based on estimates are:
Triangle Tube Prestige Solo 110 LP
Weil McLain Ultra 105 LP
I would be interested in advantages and disadvantages of each based on experience. I'm particularly interested in ease of maintenance since I will be the one who will be cleaning/maintaining this furnace as I have my fuel oil boiler over the years.
Thanks very much for your input and helping me to decide which model to have professionally installed.
We keep an Ultra 230 which has performed flawlessly for two full seasons now. It is our third WM boiler starting with their very first condension open-flame boilers to the Ultra (three different houses). We looked at the Triangle-Tube and the Crown units - they were close, but not WM.
The Ultra is, despite the R2D2 look about it, a pretty simple device with limited maintenance required. A link to the Owner's Manual is below.
